Canadian Rivers Day in Ottawa
It is a great opportunity to get more acquainted with Ottawa’s rivers in the spring and catch some fresh river air and exercise. In Ottawa, we are lucky enough to have our very own rivers flowing right through the city. It is easy to join in the festivities of Canadian Rivers Day – just step outside! Make a point of traveling somewhere along the canal, picnicking alongside the Rideau or Ottawa waterway, plan a family paddle-trip or hike along one of Ottawa’s many waterside trails.
